COURSE OVERVIEW

Health & Safety for Data Centre and Telecom Sites

Essential safety awareness for anyone working in data centres, exchanges, rooftops and telecom sites.

Overview

Data centres and telecom sites combine electrical, mechanical, working-at-height and environmental hazards. This short course builds the safety awareness expected on day one: recognising hazards, following permits and procedures, and knowing when to stop and escalate. It complements, but does not replace, the statutory safety training required by your employer or national regulations.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Identify common hazards in data halls, plant rooms and telecom sites
  • Explain electrical safety awareness, isolation and lock-out principles
  • Apply safe practices for manual handling, ladders and working at height
  • Follow permit-to-work, method statement and risk assessment processes
  • Respond correctly to alarms, fire and emergency situations
